Christmas Warfare

The word “warfare” joined with the word “Christmas” hardly seems appropriate. However, there is a distinct and definite struggle that Christmas involves. Amid the beautiful imagery of angel songs and shining stars is a woman in travail with impending delivery, a couple seeking a birth place and a king seeking to kill a baby. In Herod is the hideous intent of the adversary that seeks to destroy God’s purpose in man. What are the implications for us today?
