For us today, Obadiah calls us to examine our hearts and actions. We should not rejoice when others fall, hold grudges, or allow pride to make us feel superior. Instead, we are called to humility, mercy, justice, and faithfulness. Since God is consistent in His character, He still opposes pride but honors righteousness. The book challenges us to live with the awareness that God rules over all nations and all people, and that His justice will ultimately prevail.
