Authentic Community

We live in a time where the need of the individual has completely surpassed the concerns of the larger community. Rather than presenting a different vision, the church has also embraced individualism. The love that Jesus speaks of is fundamentally other-oriented and generally communal. If the goal of the church is self, we will not fulfill Jesus’ command that we be know as a people of love.
